Avarn Security has been commissioned to provide personal security services to the Saab Group in Sweden and abroad. This delivery is a significant part of a coordinated security solution integrating Avarn Security's security and technical organization. This coordinated security assignment is one of Sweden's most complex, dynamic, and visible assignments, with nationwide customer responsibility for the group.

Working hours: Varying hours, day and night, depending on the site.

Work location: Gothenburg

Duration: We are looking for you who want to work on an as-needed basis throughout the year. The employment is a permanent position with a six-month probation period.

About the role

As a protective security guard, you will work with guarding socially vital facilities where security requirements are maximal. Your role involves providing peace of mind to our customers at sites of crucial importance to the nation's security. Duties may include access control, escorts, reception services, and patrols.

Qualifications

To work as a protective security guard, you must be security-conscious, service-oriented, empathetic, and possess inner stability. You should have a natural drive to help others and be able to combine good service with a strong security mindset, as well as good communication and teamwork skills.

Requirements

In addition to the personal qualities we seek, the following basic qualifications are required to qualify for the position:

• Upper secondary education with passing grades in Swedish and English.
• Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Class B driver's license.

Merits

• Valid protective security guard training (civil or military*), not older than 5 years.
• Security Guard Basic Education (VU1 + VU2).
• Weapons training.

We place great emphasis on your personal maturity when assessing suitability for the position.

The positions are classified for security, meaning a security clearance check will be conducted. Swedish citizenship is a requirement for all positions.

Additionally, to be employed by Avarn Security, you must be crime-free**, drug-free, have sound finances, and be in good health and physical condition. A permit from the County Administrative Board is also required to work as a protective security guard, which we assist you in applying for.

* If you have completed protective security guard training during military basic training, it is also valid for civilian use. The training must have been completed in 2016 or later, and the certificate must not be older than 5 years. If you have protective security guard training from the Swedish Armed Forces without basic military training, you must complete a shortened protective security guard training to work as a civilian guard.

** All personnel at an authorized security company must be approved regarding law-abidingness, civic reliability, and general suitability. For the approval authority's assessment, data from the criminal record register, suspicion register, or the Security Service (Säpo) is retrieved.
