Do you want to help ensure quality at vehicle workshops, inspection stations, and within the industry?

We are currently looking for an Assessment Leader with technical competence in the vehicle sector, pressure equipment, or tanks. We welcome you to an stimulating and varied role!

As an Assessment Leader, you will work on long-term quality assignments where you will have the opportunity to lead and conduct supervision independently by taking responsibility for the planning, execution, and follow-up of your assigned clients. You will also become part of a team, participating in various assessment teams. You should possess strong decision-making and collaboration skills, as well as a desire to contribute to a positive group dynamic.

In your role as Assessment Leader, you will work within a government agency, thereby becoming part of something larger. The state's mission is to carry out activities and apply laws decided by the Parliament and the Government in an accessible, legally secure, and efficient manner, which will shape your work! In the long term, the role involves building agency contacts and, if necessary, acting as Swedac's representative in various working groups. It may also include giving presentations within your field of work.

You will perform assessments of quality systems against standards and regulations, as well as witness how various controls are performed in practice. Technical witnessing is usually carried out at the customer's premises but may occasionally take place in the field.

The position involves regular travel with overnight stays, primarily within Sweden, but international travel is also possible. Some remote work and remote customer assessments may occur. The work also includes administration related to supervision.

At the Vehicle and Control unit, we issue accreditations and perform assessments of accredited organizations. We assess conformity with international standards and national legislation to create a safer everyday life for everyone in society.

Several vehicle-related audits are performed under Swedac accreditation, e.g., mandatory inspections, auditing of taximeters or tachographs, workshop control of repaired defects ("fixing twos"), as well as industrial pressure equipment with gas and tank control.

You – a person who wants to make important contributions to the environment and traffic safety

We are looking for you who have knowledge within the vehicle technical field. This through vehicle technical upper secondary education, education within industry, relevant education from university/university college, or other qualifications deemed relevant by the employer. We see that you have work experience in areas such as vehicle repairs, control of tachographs, vehicle inspection, control within the industry such as pressure equipment with gas, quality follow-ups within the vehicle sector, or other equivalent experience. It is meritorious if you have completed personal certification for control and/or registration inspection, or undergone inspector training for own repairs or tachographs, or work with control within the industry. If you also have experience in quality work, inspection, or auditing, we view this very positively. Important to us is that you have good technical understanding and the ambition to make a significant contribution to our society. You should also be curious and eager to develop in new areas for you.

As a person, we see you as orderly and structured. You are pedagogical in your way of communicating and interested in meetings with other people. You have good leadership skills. Working independently is no problem for you, while at the same time you appreciate surrounding yourself with competent colleagues and being part of a team.
