Technology & Logistics at the Rescue Service of Greater Gothenburg (RSG) is now seeking reinforcements. The unit is responsible for the smoke protection workshop, hose workshop, and courier services. Our mission is to provide daily service to our fire stations, fire brigades, and training facilities. In the smoke protection workshop, we primarily work with hose care, air filling, and servicing of breathing apparatus.

About the role

In your role as Fire Equipment Technician, you have an important responsibility to maintain and care for the rescue service's equipment. Your main tasks involve washing and maintaining fire hoses, as well as pressure testing, servicing, and repairing critical protective equipment such as breathing apparatus, masks, valves, and regulators. All work you perform is documented carefully in digital systems to ensure traceability and safety. Furthermore, the role includes driving transports and performing various courier duties as needed.

Your qualifications

Requirements for the position:

• High school diploma, preferably with a technical focus
• At least 2 years of work experience from similar technical or practical work
• Good computer skills
• Ability to communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• Category B driver's license

Meritorious qualifications:

• Forklift license
• Category C driver's license
• Certification for servicing Interspiro breathing apparatus

Before any potential employment, we will conduct an alcohol and drug test in collaboration with our occupational health services.

As the Rescue Service of Greater Gothenburg conducts socially vital operations, the employment may involve placement in a security class. Therefore, a security investigation with register control according to the Security Protection Act may be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
