Job Description

Securitas is now looking for security guards for assignments protecting vital societal functions in Sweden. This is a role for someone who is not just looking for a job, but is ready to take on a task with significant responsibility and real importance for our country's supply and security. It is about protecting what must function – 24/7, year-round.

We are currently looking for two security guards for our operations in Gothenburg:

• One full-time security guard, night shift
• One part-time security guard, night shift

As a security guard, you play a crucial role in maintaining the security of operations that are important for Sweden. You work with extended powers, often in close cooperation with our clients.

The work is varied and includes both stationary and patrolling security, access control, reception duties, and work in the security control room. You will need to make your own decisions in critical situations, have good stamina, and a stable judgment. Therefore, we are looking for two people who have the ability to remain calm when others do not – and who are loyal to Swedish interests.

Security guard duties are performed both indoors and outdoors, day and night. Shift lengths vary, but are often scheduled in 12-hour shifts on a rolling basis. Since we operate in a business that runs every day of the year, working every other weekend is common.

The role includes, among other things:

• Protecting vital societal functions from robbery, unauthorized access, and other threats
• Performing checks according to current regulations and instructions
• Cooperating with staff and authorities on security matters

Requirements

• You must be trained as a civil or military security guard
• Passing grade in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school
• Good knowledge of English
• Category B driver's license
• Pass the upcoming security clearance check

Requirements regarding military security guard training: If you have completed security guard training with the Swedish Armed Forces as part of their basic training (GMU), this can be validated for civilian use. The security guard training and GMU must have been completed in 2016 or later, and your certificate of completion must not be older than five years at the time of application.

Nice to have:

• Previous experience in guarding protected objects, other security work, or safety-related tasks.
• Good understanding of security protection, confidentiality, and procedures in a classified environment. Experience working under a Security Protection Agreement (SUA) is a plus.
• Firearms training (HAS)
• Training in expandable baton

We are looking for two individuals with integrity, maturity, and the ability to take responsibility – for both your own and others' safety. You have a natural aptitude for structure and order, and a vigilance that others trust. You can handle freedom with responsibility and stay alert. This is a role for someone who has life experience and is now ready to use it to make a difference.

Security Clearance

Note that the position is classified, which means you will undergo a security clearance check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval under current regulations, security interviews, background checks, and register checks will be conducted. The assessment aims to investigate law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and potential vulnerabilities according to the Security Service's regulations and guidelines. Information gathered may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment of you, your life situation, and financial circumstances when evaluating your suitability.

In some cases, a corresponding check may be conducted on the person you live with or have a similar relationship with.

To be considered for the position, you must (at a minimum):

• Not appear in the Swedish Police Authority's various registers, e.g., suspicion register or criminal record.
• Have sound finances; no payment defaults, unregulated debts, no entries with collection agencies or the Swedish Enforcement Service.

• We are looking for two people for duty, one full-time position and one part-time position, both night shifts. Start date is by agreement. Employment begins with a six-month probation period.

Employment within Securitas Sverige AB requires passing grades in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school and approval from the County Administrative Board for employment in a licensed security company according to the Security Companies Act (1974:191) (the application is made by Securitas).

Salary and employment conditions are based on collective agreements between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
