About the Role
As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will work with the design, implementation, and verification of the hardware in our electric vehicle drive units. You will participate in a cross-functional development team and collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines such as system, mechanical, and test engineers to ensure the entire product maintains the highest quality.
An important part of the role is also to actively participate in the development, modernization, and improvement of processes and working methods within the hardware group. Together with other employees, this aims to increase efficiency, quality, and technical level in the group's deliverables.
Main Responsibilities:
- Breaking down system requirements into clear and verifiable hardware requirements
- Design of circuit boards containing digital and analog circuits, MCUs, communication, and power electronics
- Schematic creation and component selection, as well as support in PCB layout work
- Verification of hardware design against specifications, including lab tests and troubleshooting
- Production adaptation and support during industrialization for series production
- Documentation and work according to our development processes and quality requirements
Who Are You?
You are technically interested, solution-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to drive your work forward. Since the role involves close collaboration in project teams, it is important that you enjoy communicating and collaborating cross-functionally across disciplines.
We would like you to have:
- At least 3 years of relevant engineering education and experience in electronics development
- Experience in schematic design and electronics implementation
- Experience in electronics verification at the PCBA level
- Experience in simulation using PSpice/LTspice as well as margin and lifetime calculations
- Experience in power electronics, e.g., MOSFET/IGBT/SiC technologies and gate-drive principles
- Knowledge of EMC-aware PCB design
- Experience in hardware testing, test methodology, and technical documentation
- Proficiency with tools such as Cadence Capture, JIRA, requirement management tools, and MS Office
- Very good skills in English, both spoken and written. Swedish is an asset
- Asset: Experience with automotive standards such as CISPR 25 and ISO 26262
- Asset: Experience in simulating magnetic components
