For our client in Ulricehamn, we are currently looking for a day-time personal assistant. The work involves alternating shifts in Vegby and centrally in Ulricehamn. To get to know the client, we provide a thorough introduction during the day/evening/weekend before you start working independently during the day.

This is how our client describes her needs and what is expected of you as an assistant.

I am a happy and creative 14-year-old girl. With me, you will join in on everything that happens in my daily life, and you will become an important piece of the puzzle in my life. You need to be prepared to work for both of my parents. You will help me during the day in my daily life and also accompany me to school during school hours. Since I have complex epilepsy, I always need an assistant nearby, as I can have epileptic seizures at any time.

I love painting, crafting, listening to music, and sometimes dancing, but everything depends on how I feel that day. I also like horses and sometimes ride in the afternoons after school.

I need exercise and movement, and it is important that you can also participate in my physical activities such as kicking a ball, running, jumping, and playing.

There is a cat living with my dad, so you cannot be allergic to animals.

The Assistant's Role and Experience

To fit as my personal assistant, I hope you have experience in similar work, perhaps as an assistant or working with children with special needs in other ways.

It is a big plus if you have basic knowledge of epilepsy. It is important that you are caring and reliable, with a big heart for helping others. You also need to be initiative-taking, playful, and good at motivating, as I appreciate when we come up with creative and fun things together. Flexibility and the ability to adapt are important.

I am looking for someone who is positive and close to laughter, preferably a bit mischievous. But you also need to be able to be calm and stable, even in stressful situations, and have the ability to understand my needs and situation. Commitment and a genuine interest in contributing to a meaningful and fun daily life for me are also very important.

You need a driver's license and access to your own car when I am at my mom's, as we live in the countryside without public transport.

Desirable Experience

• Driver's license and access to own car are a requirement.
• Experience with epilepsy.
• Experience working with children/young people with special needs.
• Swedish language skills (spoken and written).

Working Hours/Employment Degree

• Permanent employment for the duration of the assignment, with a fixed roster on a rolling 4-week schedule.
• Day shifts usually start at 07:30.
• The role also involves weekend work.
• Start immediately.

• We apply salary according to the Fremia collective agreement.
