About the position

We at Olivia are looking for 3 assistants who want to work as temporary substitutes for our client in Åkersberga. As a temporary substitute, you will cover for regular assistants during holidays or sick leave. During the summer of 2026, there are good opportunities to work additional shifts. We are looking for someone who can work flexible hours, both on weekdays and weekends.

The working hours vary between weekdays and weekends:

  • 08:00–15:30
  • 07:00–13:00
  • 15:00–21:00
  • 21:00–07:00 (Awake night shift)

Start date is by agreement, and we would prefer if you could start and be onboarded immediately.

About the client

The client is a 66-year-old woman who enjoys walking, quizzes, and music. She needs your help as an assistant in her daily life due to a stroke. The home is equipped with aids such as an electric wheelchair, a ceiling lift, and a shower chair.

The duties include:

  • Support with daily routines and household chores
  • Transfers and mobility assistance
  • Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing/undressing, and meals
  • Practical support in daily activities

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and has a genuine ability to put others' needs first. You are a warm and empathetic person with good social sensitivity, seeing and acknowledging the individual behind every situation. At the same time, you are solution-oriented and proactive – you take responsibility, identify what needs to be done, and act with security and care. Of course, you are also reliable and someone who can be trusted in everyday life.

The client appreciates finding activities to do together with her assistant. Therefore, it is a plus if you share the joy of doing things together and contribute positive energy.

There is also a cat in the home, so it is important that you are not allergic.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a personal assistant or within care and social services
  • Not be allergic to pets (there is a cat in the home)
  • Available to work during the summer of 2026
  • Willing to work varying hours, including weekdays and weekends

Merits:

  • Valid driver's license and access to a car
  • Experience working with stroke patients

Employment level: 3 substitutes as needed. With good prospects for part-time work (55%) during the summer of 2026.

Start date: Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Salary: We offer individual salary setting. Other benefits are in accordance with the collective agreement.

Things to consider before applying:

A prerequisite for starting employment at Olivia is that you can present a valid ID and submit a background check (personbevis) as well as any documents proving your right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the background check from the Swedish Tax Agency's website.

Since the position may involve solo work, night shifts, and tasks that, according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3), cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you must provide an extract from the criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new rules apply, meaning the background check will include both the criminal record and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order it well in advance.
