About the Position

I am a nine-year-old girl now looking for more personal assistants for my team. I live in a house in Torslanda with my mom, dad, little sister, and our dog Gustaf. My diagnosis (Krabbe disease) means I have a great need for help around the clock.

As my assistant, you will help me with everything regarding my lifestyle. You will also handle my gastrostomy (PEG) and my sputum suction. Since I do not have speech or major emotional expressions, it is important that you are close to me at all times to listen and check that I am doing well.

I do not go to school, so you as the assistant will be the one who activates me. Books, foot baths, and singing are things I enjoy. Cold and rain are not my thing, so I am mostly outside when it is warm and pleasant.

We are looking for someone who...

• Is interested in a substitute position with a focus on both day and night shifts.
• Is skilled in practical care.
• Has experience with sputum suction and PEG mask (meritorious).
• Is preferably female.
• Has a driver's license (desirable but not required due to good bus connections).

Requirements

• Experience working in care or similar fields.
• Good ability to cooperate and communicate with others.
• Great flexibility and ability to adapt to changed situations.

Schedule and Conditions

The customer has assistance around the clock with active time during the night. The customer also has double assistance during daytime hours.

Shifts will be scheduled between 08:00–16:00 and 21:00–07:00. Weekend work occurs.

Start: Meeting and introduction immediately.

Important to Know Before Applying

In accordance with God Assistans policy, we require criminal record extracts from ALL employees. This must be presented before employment, after the interview has been conducted. You order the register extract yourself via the police website using forms for children with disabilities.

Documents proving the right to work in Sweden must be presented at any potential interview:

• A Swedish citizen is verified with, for example, a passport or personal certificate from the Tax Agency.
• EU/EEA citizens have the right to work in Sweden. Citizenship is verified with, for example, a passport or residence permit.
• Third-country nationals (outside EU/EEA) prove their right to work in Sweden with a decision from the Migration Agency, UT-card (front and back) or an LMA-card.

As employers, we are not allowed to ask for documents proving the right to work in Sweden to be emailed to us.
