We are looking for both temporary substitutes and a personal assistant for a part-time night position with a one-and-a-half-year-old boy with a tracheostomy in Luleå. As an assistant in this assignment, you will be offered a rewarding job with an active and curious boy. The family consists of the boy, his mother, father, and their dog – a French Bulldog. They live in a villa with good conditions for a pleasant working environment. As an assistant, you will always work in close proximity to the boy, both at home and when the family goes on outings and trips.

The boy's needs require supervision and interventions around the clock. Since he breathes through a tracheostomy cannula, you will always work as two assistants together with the employer to ensure that his breathing functions correctly. A central part of the work is preventing blockages in the cannula by regularly suctioning mucus/saliva with a tube (suction catheter) and administering mucolytic inhalations. The boy also has a feeding tube in his stomach, which is used occasionally in addition to a bottle. Otherwise, the boy is healthy, lively, and enjoys playing, riding in a stroller, and sitting in laps.

• You are a non-smoker.
• You have fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

Personality chemistry and the interaction between you as an assistant, the employer, and his relatives are crucial for the quality and experience of the work.

About the employment
Working hours vary and can be scheduled during the day, evening, and night according to needs in the schedule. We apply the employment form of hourly employment for this assignment. The position may be expanded to a permanent position in the long term. We offer a fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other allowances according to collective agreement (Fremia-Kommunal: Personal Assistance). The assignment is expected to last approximately 2–3 years, as the boy is then expected to outgrow his condition.

About the recruitment
