Klara Theoretical Gymnasium East offers university-preparatory programs: SA, EK, NA, and NASA. We are an independent school centrally located at Gärdet in Stockholm, currently with approximately 700 students and 50 employees. We are a multicultural school with students from the entire Stockholm area and with varying educational backgrounds.

We are looking for an engaged social pedagogue who wants to prepare our youth for the future

We are currently seeking a qualified social pedagogue who preferably has experience working at the upper secondary level. Being a social pedagogue at Klara East is a stimulating role with a high degree of variety in tasks. You will work with students on both an individual and group level, as well as serve as a mentor.

As a social pedagogue with us, you will:

• Join the Student Health Team (SHT): Actively contribute to the school's preventive and health-promoting work at both individual and group levels.

• Support the social study environment: Work to create safety and a conducive study atmosphere inside and outside the classroom.

• Be a mentor: Be responsible for a group of students, following up on their studies, attendance, and general well-being.

• Manage study situations: Step in as a substitute teacher when needed (usually around two lesson periods per day) based on clear planning from the responsible teacher.

• Administration: Work with the school's digital tools, such as Google Workspace and DF Respons.

In your professional role as a social pedagogue, you are also responsible for:

• Motivational conversations: Conduct coaching and supportive conversations with students to strengthen their self-esteem and study motivation.

• Conflict management and mediation: Handle social conflicts and actively work with the school's value base.

• Preventive measures: Identify and implement early interventions in signs of exclusion, absenteeism, or mental health issues.

• Collaboration: Maintain close dialogue with guardians, teachers, and external actors to create a sustainable network around the student.

You will be part of the Student Health Team and contribute to the school's preventive and promoting student health work at individual and group levels. Previous experience in similar work is an advantage. Since the role is new to the school, there are great opportunities to help shape processes and routines for how the role should be structured in close dialogue with the principal. You will collaborate closely with the school's management, teachers, mentors, administration, and the SHT.

• Employment degree: Leave-service position with a factor of 0.91, meaning you have 11 weeks of leave per year.

• Employment type: Permanent position. We apply a six-month probationary period.
