About the position

We are currently looking for an engaged companion and relief caregiver for a man in Ånestad/Vidingsjö, Linköping. He has Down syndrome, autism, and a moderate intellectual disability. We are looking for you who want to add extra value to his daily life through both activity and security.

In the role of companion, you will join him in a variety of leisure activities outside the home. This includes everything from gym training, swimming, and bowling to gymnastics and visits to the playground. Your task is to provide support during the activities themselves, as well as in all surrounding tasks. As a relief caregiver, you will be located in or near the home to provide temporary respite for the guardians. Here, you can spend time in the yard or swim in the family's private pool during the summers.

The man's main interests are music, cycling, and swinging. Therefore, we would like you to be someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and has an easy way of sharing energy and joy. You will play an important role in enabling an active and meaningful leisure time for him in a secure environment.

Hours: Working hours are usually Tuesdays and Thursdays 17:00–20:00, and one Saturday per month 12:00–17:00. We are also looking for support Monday–Friday 15:30–17:00. Other times may occur based on discussions regarding the client's needs.

About you

Scope: Part-time/Extra on approximately 23% of full-time. Approximately 40 hours per month. The decision is under extension.

Positions: 2 positions currently available.

Start date: By agreement. Applications are reviewed continuously, so the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.

Things to consider before applying:

A prerequisite for starting employment at Olivia is that you can present a valid ID and submit a tax certificate (personbevis) as well as any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the tax certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency's website.

Due to the fact that the position may involve working alone, night shifts, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old.

If you wish to work with children and young people under 18, you need to present an extract from the criminal record. It is important to order the extracts in good time, as the police processing time may vary. Due to a legislative change from March 1, 2026, the register control will be expanded to include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register.

You can easily order the extracts with BankID via this link: https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/barn-med-funktionsnedsattning/ (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/barn-med-funktionsnedsattning/)

We recommend that you ensure you have current extracts according to the new rules.

Olivia is an inclusive company. We welcome all applicants, including you who are entitled to some form of employment support through the Swedish Public Employment Service. It is voluntary to state this information in your application, or you can inform us during a possible interview.

About collective agreements and benefits at Olivia:

As an employee, you are covered by a collective agreement, and of course, you are insured on the way to and from work in case something unforeseen happens.
