About Us
The Authority and Development Unit consists of a team of eleven engaged employees who together are responsible for case processing according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS), as well as housing coordination, system administration, and operational development.
We work with horizontal management, which means that everyone in the team actively contributes with their competence and perspectives. Our work environment is characterized by collaboration, responsibility, and trust – which means that both the team and the individual develop. You have good opportunities for competence development through supervision, training, legal databases, and environmental scanning.

Job Responsibilities
In your role as a social worker within elderly care, you will work with authority exercises according to the Social Services Act (SoL). This means that you receive applications, investigate, make decisions, and follow up on approved measures. The work involves close contact with the individual, relatives, providers, and other collaborating parties.
You have great opportunities to plan your work independently and can partly work from home. We work in a team – you are never alone but have great scope for action.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- Have a degree in social work or other relevant education
- Have a good ability to work both independently and in a team
- Express yourself well in speech and writing
- Are engaged, unpretentious, and have a great interest in elderly care
Merits:
- Experience with IBIC
- Experience with SAMSA
- Knowledge of business systems such as Combine and Visma
- Driver's license (required)

Tjörn Municipality requests extracts from the criminal record register in connection with this recruitment. Visit the police website to request an extract from the criminal record register. This can be done digitally with an e-ID or by filling out a form. Note that the processing time can be up to two weeks, order the extract in good time.
