About the Job

We are looking for several hourly-paid teaching assistants who, by agreement, will assist the course coordinator in the course ETE418, Programming in Python (7.5 credits), which is offered entirely online throughout the autumn term of 2026 (HT2026).

The main tasks include:

• Staffing duty shifts and being available via Zoom to answer students' questions at agreed times according to a schedule established in consultation with other assistants and the course coordinator.
• Responsible for examining a number of assigned students' oral presentations of submitted assignments and the final exam online.

The scope and scheduling of working hours are determined in consultation with the course coordinator and adapted to the needs of the operation and the availability of the concerned assistants.

About You

To be employed as an assistant, you must be admitted to a university-level program at either basic or advanced level.

The hourly-paid position is linked to undergraduate courses at the Department of Science and Technology (ITN), Linköping University. The work may vary and requires flexibility and good availability during the course. You are expected to be responsible, careful, have good pedagogical skills, and an interest in the subject area.

For the employment, you must be able to provide documentation that you are studying at a technical program at Linköping University. Furthermore, you must have completed at least one university-level programming course and have experience programming in Python. You need to be available during the course period HT2026 (weeks 36–50).

You will be employed at the Department of Science and Technology.

About the Employment

This refers to a fixed-term intermittent employment with hourly compensation. The scope and period are determined in agreement with the course coordinator.

Salary and Benefits

The current assistant salary at Linköping University is 159.70 SEK/hour, which corresponds to a full-time salary of 26,350 SEK.
