Vadstena is an attractive municipality located on the beautiful Östgötaslätten plain, overlooking Lake Vättern. Here you will find a unique historical environment dating back to the Middle Ages. The Food Services Department is responsible for providing high-quality meals for the municipality's operations. The food is largely prepared from scratch, preferably using locally sourced ingredients, and the work is carried out in close collaboration with the various operations. Vadstena Municipality works according to the "Food for Life" concept, focusing on meal pedagogy, learning, and food experiences related to cultivation, animals, and nature.

The Food Services Department has approximately 20 employees and is organizationally placed under the Community Planning Committee. Staff are located in the municipality's production kitchen, Elena Laurentii, St Per School, and the preschools Blanka and Omma, as well as in the reception kitchen at Katarina School.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a temporary substitute in the Food Services Department, you will work in our kitchens as needed, for example during absences or peak work periods. The tasks vary and may include preparing and cooking meals, simple cooking and baking, serving, dishwashing, cleaning, and working according to current hygiene routines. The work is carried out in collaboration with chefs and kitchen assistants.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has an interest in food and meal services and thrives in practical work. Experience from kitchens, restaurants, or institutional catering is meritorious but not a requirement. You should have good teamwork skills, be flexible, and service-oriented. Personal suitability is highly valued.

A valid police certificate is required for work within schools and childcare.

Salary: Hourly wage.
