We are looking for stable and considerate assistants with good physical fitness and stress tolerance for an important role as a personal assistant. The work involves double staffing around the clock, requiring good teamwork skills. You are a team player, flexible, and have a caring side.

You will assist a man in his 50s living in Enskede, Stockholm. He lives with ALS and has difficulty speaking, meaning he needs help with most aspects of his daily life and requires assistance around the clock. He uses advanced communication aids and needs a secure, attentive, and responsive assistant by his side. You will be his extended arms, supporting him with everything from personal care to managing aids and creating a smooth and secure daily life. You will work in his home – a quiet and pet-free environment.

➡️ The position is initially a temporary hourly contract to cover unstaffed shifts, sick leave, and vacations.

• 💡 Daily support and care – Assistance with dressing, transfers (floor lift), showering, toilet visits, and personal hygiene.

• 🏠 Household chores – Light cleaning, laundry, and other tasks.

• 🩺 Management of aids – Use of cough assist machine, oxygen mask, suctiion device, PEG, tube feeding, communication aids, and wound care.

• 👀 Communication support – You need to be able to read facial expressions and body language to understand the needs of the person you assist.

• ✔️ Previous experience in personal assistance or care – you feel confident handling aids.

• ✔️ Attentive, calm, and flexible – you see what needs to be done and adapt to the situation.

• ✔️ Gentle and secure demeanor – while being independent and proactive.

• ✔️ Non-smoker with good Swedish – you speak, understand, and read Swedish without problems.

• 📅 Start date: Immediately.

• ⏳ Contract: The position starts with introductory shifts and a temporary hourly contract.

• 🕒 Work shifts: Double assistance around the clock – work is always performed with two assistants present to provide the best possible support.
