1st Social Secretary – Child and Youth Authority

Skara Municipality – Care Administration The Care Administration has an important mission: to offer care, support, and services to the municipality's residents, with a focus on quality, development, and innovative working methods. We are now looking for an engaged 1st Social Secretary who wants to lead and support our team within the reception and child secretary group. The role involves leading seven social secretaries and contributing to the development of operations in the area of children and young people.

About the Role

As the 1st Social Secretary, you will be the direct supervisor for a competent and engaged team working with reception, investigation, and children placed in foster care. You are supportive and coaching, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and a good work climate.

You are responsible for:

• Planning and structuring operations, including case distribution and method support in the group.
• Creating security and support for social secretaries in relation to political expectations.
• Participating in collaboration teams, development projects, and improvement work.
• Being a mentor for new employees and ensuring good authority practice and legal security.
• Representing the unit at committees and court hearings, as well as participating in the management group and supervision sessions.

We are looking for someone who

• Has several years of experience in social work with children and young people and good knowledge of relevant legislation.
• Has a social work degree or equivalent according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements.
• Is confident, communicative, and able to inspire and develop employees.
• Has a valid driver's license (Category B).

You are structured, flexible, and motivated by contributing to both the development of operations and the best interests of the individual.
