We are a clinic driven by development and are today one of Sweden's leading endoscopy clinics. Here, procedures such as gastroscopy, capsule endoscopy, ERCP, and colonoscopy are performed, including advanced interventions like ESD and enteroscopy. The unit performs over 6,000 examinations per year, and we conduct extensive research both nationally and internationally. Our work also includes a significant mandate for development, teaching, and education.

We are a growing operation and work together in teams with nurses, doctors, nursing assistants, auxiliary nurses, and secretaries. We have a good work climate and close collaboration between different professions, operations, and clinics. The clinic is open during daytime hours from Monday to Friday.

As a new colleague, you will meet healthcare staff with long experience in working with patients within gastroenterology. We hold regular meetings where we discuss routines and improvements, and we offer continuous education for all staff. We are a wonderful group with good cooperation between professions, all to ensure our patients receive the best possible care!

Job Responsibilities

We now have the opportunity to welcome a new colleague to our Endoscopy Clinic in Malmö. In addition to examinations at our own unit, you will assist with acute scopes and pediatric scopes under anesthesia in the operating room. The work involves rotating around the operating theater, various examination rooms, recovery rooms, and the dish room, meaning the tasks are very varied. You are responsible for preparations, assisting during examinations, as well as monitoring and care after examinations. Your main focus is always on the patient, both regarding nursing care and medical handling. Your work also includes the maintenance of various instruments, materials, and equipment.

The work is highly technical. We have a highly competent staff group, and we are constantly developing further. As you settle into the operation, you will receive training in propofol sedation on healthy patients. We receive very positive feedback from patients after examinations, which confirms that we have done a good job. You help patients through difficult examinations, which feels positive and energizing.

The position involves a combination role with weekend duties at the Gastroenterology Department.

Qualifications

We welcome you if you are a registered nurse with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. You have knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. For this position, work experience as a nurse is required.

Since close collaboration is important to us, we want you to have excellent teamwork skills. Since the work is highly technical, it is important that you have an interest in technology. Furthermore, it comes naturally to you to take responsibility and be engaged in your work. Additionally, we see that you work carefully and are both flexible and proactive. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
