Who am I?

My name is Gabriel and I am a 15-year-old boy living in Kungälv who loves life. I am almost always happy and quick to laugh when something funny happens. I understand a lot of what happens and is said, but I cannot express myself with words. Since I am blind and have a severe cerebral palsy (CP), I need help with most things. As an assistant, you need to be able to read me and interpret the surroundings—you are simply my voice and my eyes. Of course, you will also help me with other basic tasks such as transfers, personal hygiene, and meals, as well as during all the different activities I do. I dance, ride horses, swim (every week), and ski (in winter). I also love spending time with my best friend and, last but not least, traveling.

Who are you?

You must have previous experience in personal assistance, leisure activities, care, or similar fields. You are welcome to be empathetic, have a pedagogical approach, and be interested in alternative communication. Since my family leads an active life, it is a plus if you are open to different activities and work environments. Because the job involves help with transfers, it is an advantage if you are physically fit. Being non-smoking is a requirement.

About the position:

Extra help as needed. Working hours are afternoon/evening approx. 14:30–19:30 and weekend shifts 11:00–19:00.

The position is located in Kungälv, with good connections from Gothenburg.

Passal Assistans offers a rewarding and varied job with good employment conditions, training, and wellness benefits. Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations according to collective agreement. You will also receive good support and contact with the assistance coordinator.
