Pool Position at the Sami School in Gällivare and Skierri Preschool

The Sami School Board is a government agency with its administration, including school principal, controllers, HR, and case handlers, located in Jåhkåmåhkke.

The Sami School is an educational form equivalent to the compulsory school, offering education from pre-school class to year 6. The starting point for the teaching is Sami culture and the Sami language according to the curriculum for the Sami School. The Sami School Board also operates preschools in agreement with the respective municipalities. The Sami School Board has operations in Giron, Gárasavvon, Váhtjer, Jåhkåmåhkke, and Dearna.

The Sami School Board arranges distance education in the Sami languages and supports the development and production of teaching materials for Sami education.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pool position at the Sami School in Gällivare and Skierri Preschool.
• You will work both at the school, the after-school center, and at the preschool.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in accordance with the compulsory school's steering documents and from a Sami perspective, both individually and in work teams.
• You will actively participate in developing successful learning environments together with others at the school.
• Participate in other work at the after-school center together with the staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You should be able to work in preschool, after-school, and school as a substitute teacher.
• You master Sami, both orally and in writing, and have knowledge of Sami culture and traditions.
• You should have a good ability to be sensitive to our students' needs, interests, and wishes. We expect you to be flexible.
• You have a positive view of people and the ability to create good relationships, as well as the ability to prevent and resolve potential conflicts together with students. You should have good cooperation skills with colleagues, students, and parents.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for you who have documented good cooperation skills.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.

The Sami School Board applies individual salary setting.
