Job Description
You will be part of the Social Support Team in Svenljunga. The Social Support Team works on behalf of the authority. We work with children and families, harmful substance use and addiction, LSS/social psychiatry, as well as certain interventions without decisions.
As a Family Therapist/Special Educator in the Social Support Team, you will be part of a work team and scheduled according to the needs of the operation, where evening and weekend shifts may occur. You will be part of the group that primarily works with children and families, but if needed, we help each other between groups. This means that work with other target groups that we are available for in the Social Support Team may occur.
As a Family Therapist/Special Educator working with children and families, it is important to be able to create and tailor interventions based on the needs of the family to promote positive changes and enable the child and young person to remain in their home environment or to actually be able to return home from a placement outside the home.
We have a systemic theoretical approach where we put the person in need of support from us at the center. We believe that the working alliance and continuity over time are significant parts of the change process.
Our conviction is also that social change work must be carried out in close collaboration with the concerned parties and with collaboration partners.
Together we work to prevent and enable change in the life situation, which leads to good conditions for the future.
Implementation planning, documentation, and follow-up of individual goals are important parts of the work to be able to be compliant and ensure that interventions have the desired effect.
The Family Therapist/Special Educator also has a responsibility to drive the pedagogical development in the operation together with employees and management.
The tasks may also include the following areas;
- Method development
- Environmental scanning
- Design and revise routines
- Quality assurance, follow-up, and analysis of the operation
- Implementation of educational measures
- Mentoring of students
- Additional assignments may be added
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a great interest in and experience of working with children and families. You must have a post-secondary education in social work, such as a social worker or equivalent education that the employer considers suitable.

We would like you to have documented good cooperation skills and be well acquainted with network work.
