Edukatus Alliance

Edukatus Alliance is where learning happens – from the first steps in preschool to future dreams at university college. With operations from Kiruna to Malmö, we are one of Sweden's largest education companies. Every day, we work with great commitment to create safe environments where both students and employees grow.

Learning is at the center of everything we do – always grounded in care, quality, and development. Here, you become an important part of a context that makes a real difference for thousands of children, young people, and adults across Sweden.

Are you an experienced school librarian with a strong commitment to school development, teaching, and equal education? We are now looking for a central school librarian who, at the owner level, wants to contribute to the continued development of an equal, purposeful, and pedagogically integrated school library service within Edukatus Alliance.

About the role

As a central school librarian, you are part of the owner's quality organization and belong to the Quality and Development Department. You have a strategic and coordinating responsibility to support, monitor, and develop the school library service within the group in accordance with the requirements and intentions of the Education Act and the Public Libraries Act.

The role involves working both operationally close to the ground and at an overarching level, focusing on quality, equality, and the school library's function as a pedagogical resource in teaching.

You will:

  • Support schools and principals in developing an equal and purposeful school library service

  • Contribute to strengthening the school library's pedagogical function and collaboration with teaching, including in reading promotion and media and information literacy

  • Coordinate, monitor, and develop the owner's systematic quality work within the school library area

  • Contribute to the development of common structures, working methods, and system support for the school library service

  • Plan and implement competence development initiatives for the group's school librarians and school library coordinators, participate in quality dialogues, and conduct site visits

  • Provide expert competence within the school library area and relevant legislation

We are looking for someone who has:
  • A degree in Library and Information Science and several years of experience working as a school librarian

  • Experience in developing the school library's pedagogical function in collaboration with teaching, teachers, and school management

  • Experience in school development and systematic quality work within the education sector

  • Good knowledge of the requirements and intentions of the Education Act and the Public Libraries Act regarding school library services

  • A good understanding of how steering, monitoring, and development work is conducted in larger educational organizations

  • Strong ability to independently structure, organize, and drive development processes

  • Very strong analytical skills and experience in compiling and presenting information clearly and structured

  • Ability to create good collaborations and communicate clearly in both speech and writing

Experience working at the owner level or in larger educational organizations is an advantage.

We offer

You will become part of a values-driven group focused on quality, learning, and development.

Here, you have the opportunity to contribute to development in close collaboration with engaged colleagues within education, quality, compliance, and business development. The role offers great opportunities to influence and contribute to the long-term development of the school library service throughout the entire group.

Location and extent

The position (100%) is hybrid with office placement in Malmö or Stockholm.

You may be based in any location in Sweden but are expected to be able to work from one of our offices when needed; the remaining time can be worked remotely.

The work involves travel within the country, both with and without overnight stays.

A valid driver's license (Category B) is required.

Application

For questions about the role, contact Quality Manager Nathalie Bredvad Jensen at [email protected].

Last day for applications: June 5, 2025. We conduct ongoing interviews, so the position may be filled before the deadline.

We kindly ask to be excused from contact with recruiters and advertising agencies.

For final employment, we apply a written procedure where the employment contract is signed digitally by both parties. We also wish to inform you that the employment is subject to requirements according to the Education Act, which means that applicants must produce an extract from the police record before we, as employers, can enter into a final employment agreement.

We therefore encourage you to order an extract from the police record directly after submitting your application. The form to order the extract can be found via polisen.se.
