About Adult Psychiatry Clinic Laro

The Adult Psychiatry Clinic Laro in Kristianstad has a mandate that includes overall medical responsibility for patients with long-term opioid dependence. The operations are conducted in a cross-professional context and include medical treatment, counseling, as well as coordination and planning of care and treatment. Additionally, it involves psychological testing and assessment, as well as basic somatic care related to harmful use and addiction issues.

Laro (medication-assisted rehabilitation for opioid dependence) aims to prevent relapse, strengthen the patient's social functioning and quality of life, and reduce the risk of medical complications, disease transmission, and mortality. The treatment is individually adapted and designed based on the patient's needs, with great respect for individual autonomy and integrity.

The Adult Psychiatry Clinic Laro operates in accordance with the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines. Since 2016, these guidelines have included the treatment of opioid dependence, meaning that individuals with long-term pain problems can also be offered Laro treatment.

The clinic has a cross-professional team consisting of psychiatric nurses, general nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, psychologists, medical secretaries, as well as specialist doctors in psychiatry and addiction medicine.

Responsibilities

As a nurse, you are an important part of the team and, together with specialist doctors, are responsible for the patients' care and treatment. In addition to pharmacological treatment, the clinic works with motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and group therapies, adapted to the individual needs of the patients. Collaboration occurs with several actors within both psychiatric and somatic care, and cooperation with Social Services, the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and the Public Employment Service is a clear and central part of ensuring cohesive and needs-adapted care.

The operations offer varied and independent work with a high degree of participation and responsibility, as well as good opportunities for both professional and personal development. Employees are offered regular supervision and ongoing training in both addiction care and psychiatry.

At our clinic, active and long-term improvement work is conducted that permeates the entire operation. This means a continuous focus on development and quality, where we work together to constantly improve our methods. The position is primarily located in Kristianstad. VO Adult Psychiatry will open a new Laro clinic in Hässleholm on September 1st. The clinics in Kristianstad and Hässleholm will have close and continuous cooperation, which means that duty may occasionally involve working shifts in Hässleholm. Mobility between the locations is seen as a natural part of the joint development and collaboration of the operations.

Qualifications and Merits

Requirements:

• Registered nurse with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.

Merits:

• Previous experience in addiction care.
• Genuine interest in working with our target group and experience in collaborating with other actors.
• Specialist education in psychiatry and/or Step 1 competency in CBT.
• Good knowledge of Melior and the Microsoft Office suite.
