About the assignment

Do you want to work part-time in a job where your effort really matters? We are now looking for a part-time personal assistant for a 30-year-old man who lives in his own cottage on his parents' farm in Alingsås, surrounded by animals and nature.

A driver's license and access to a car are required as the residence is located outside public transport. Driving is included in the job.

The man lives with autism and epilepsy and needs support in his daily life. On weekdays, he attends day activity services from 09:00–15:00, and afterwards he enjoys participating in activities or cooking – a great interest of his.

The weekends are often quieter and are preferably spent outdoors with walks or coffee.

Who are we looking for?

You are secure, responsible, and able to work independently. We would like you to be active, structured, and enjoy planning and carrying out activities.

Experience with autism and epilepsy is meritorious but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you can create security, have a calm approach, and can work with clear routines and structure.

We are looking for someone who is engaged and wants to build a good relationship while contributing to a stable and meaningful daily life.

About the position

Working hours vary, but weekday shifts are usually from 15:15–08:55 or 15:15–21:15. Weekend shifts can be from 09:00–15:00, 15:00–09:00, or 24-hour shifts.

The work mainly involves evening and night shifts with periods of waiting. In the morning, the man takes transport services to his day activity center.

We would appreciate it if you are flexible and can work extra when needed.

Before interview and employment

Before an interview, we ask you to prove your right to work in Sweden by showing valid documents, such as a Swedish passport/personal identity document, residence permit (EU), or residence and work permit/LMA card (non-EU). According to the law on register control, you also need to present an extract from the police criminal record (Extract for work with children with disabilities) if you are to work with minors. You can easily order this digitally via the police website.
