In the autumn of 2017, ProCivitas Stockholm opened its doors, following the successful concept established by our sister schools in Helsingborg, Malmö, Växjö, and Lund. In a short time, we have established a highly functional operation with high demand, satisfied students, and guardians. We offer the Economics Programme, the Social Sciences Programme, and the Natural Sciences Programme, and during the 2025/26 academic year, we have 600 students. We moved into newly built and modern facilities at Campus Södermalm on Tullgårdsgatan 12 prior to the 2022/23 academic year. The campus houses four upper secondary schools. Each school operates in its own premises within the campus but shares common areas such as the lunch service, student café, sports halls, and state-of-the-art laboratories. More information about Campus Södermalm can be read here (#).
In August 2023, our school received the results of the quality review conducted by the Swedish Schools Inspectorate (Skolinspektionen), which regularly inspects schools across Sweden. The Inspectorate assesses a school's work in four areas: Principal Leadership, Teaching, Safety and Study Environment, and Assessment and Grading. Within each area, it is evaluated to what extent the school meets the Inspectorate's quality criteria (high extent, several parts, or low extent). We are proud to announce that ProCivitas Stockholm was deemed to meet the quality criteria to a high extent in all four areas. Read more about the review and Principal Eva's comments on ProCivitas.se (https://www.procivitas.se).
We are now looking for an experienced school counselor who is trained as a social worker or has equivalent relevant education, and who wishes to become part of our student health team. In your daily work, you will be part of a highly committed student health team consisting of the principal, school nurse, special education teacher, and study and career counselor, all of whom work closely with both students and teachers. You will also work closely with a collegium of highly competent, professional teachers who are well-liked by students. Your task, together with them, will be to work proactively and preventively to create the best learning environment for our students. The work will consist of supporting students at both group and individual levels, as well as providing support to the teachers. In our school's joint effort towards the goal of “100% goal achievement”, the counselor plays a key role in supporting students who need help with study planning, support, and follow-up. The counselor position also includes responsibility for the process regarding our school's absence management; identifying and analyzing absence patterns among affected students and, in collaboration with mentors and program teams, ensuring that absence investigations are carried out, followed up, and yield the desired results.
You are convinced of
- that the shared mission of all staff is that all students should achieve the goals, regardless of their individual prerequisites
- that an inclusive learning environment where adjustments are planned from the start is the key to success
- that a relational approach is crucial for the development of both teachers and students
- that a salutogenic approach is the starting point for how we think about support and help
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong abilities to prioritize and structure your work. You are very computer literate and work digitally every day with shared documents, calendars, and planning tools with your colleagues and students. We work in Schoolsoft and the Google environment, which is beneficial if you have experience with these. The student health team's joint documentation is done in DF Respons.
The position is a permanent employment of 80-100% (there is room for dialogue regarding the extent) starting August 6, 2026 (6-month probationary period).
The ProCivitas organization is built on trust, great commitment, and the courage to set high demands, both for students and colleagues. There is also a culture of strong team spirit here, where you will have great opportunities to influence and get good ideas implemented. With us, you now have the opportunity to become part of a happy and enthusiastic collegium where a collaborative culture is strong and the desire for continuous development is evident. Decision-making paths are short, and we work in a goal-oriented, quality-conscious, and solution-oriented manner. We are brave and willing to test new ideas – with a large dose of humility, flexibility, and lack of pretension. The students at the school are wonderful to work with; there is peace and quiet, and the level of ambition is high. The atmosphere at our school is warm and familial. Both students and staff show a noticeable pride in their school and the work we do every day.
Apply today! Tell us who you are, what your background is, and how you work as a counselor. Personal suitability is highly valued. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline ends. Questions can be directed to Principal Eva at [email protected]
