Kunskapsskolan in Sweden runs primary and upper secondary schools where the personally tailored education is at the center. Today, approximately 14,000 students attend our 36 schools across the country. Kunskapsskolan Uppsala is looking for a mathematics teacher.

We are a well-functioning primary school for grades 4-9 with approximately 620 students, located centrally in Uppsala with good commuting options.

About the role

As a mathematics teacher with us, you become a key person in the students' knowledge development. You work not only as a subject teacher but often also as a tutor, which means you coach a number of students in their personal goals and study strategies.

Your main responsibilities:

• Teaching: Plan and conduct lessons and workshops in mathematics based on Kunskapsskolan's pedagogical model.

• Personal tutoring: Hold individual conversations with your tutored students to support their planning and progression.

• Student welfare work: Collaborate closely with the work team and the student health team to create a safe and stimulating learning environment.

• Assessment and follow-up: Document and communicate students' results to students and guardians.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who is a confident leader in the classroom and a "top-tier relationship builder." You have the ability to see each student's specific needs and can adapt your teaching accordingly. You enjoy working in a team and are attracted to a role where you have great responsibility for shaping the student's entire school journey.

Qualifications:

• Teacher certification with eligibility in mathematics for the later years of primary school.

• Good experience in using digital tools.

• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.

• Well-versed in Lgr-22 (the Swedish curriculum for compulsory school, preschool class and the leisure centre).

• Experience with Kunskapsskolan's working method or similar individualized pedagogy is meritorious.
