Welcome to us

You will belong to the Personal Support Area, Social Services and Leisure Department, Bromma District Administration. The unit comprises 16 group and service apartments and a day activity program. In the group apartments, adults with various disabilities live. We offer individually adapted support based on the residents' wishes, needs, and opportunities. The operations are based on respect, security, and participation, starting from LSS (the Support and Service Act for Persons with Functional Disabilities). All operations are located within the Bromma district area and are accessible by municipal transport.

You will become one of eight group leaders within the Personal Support Area, where you, together with a Unit Manager, drive the work at the unit. We are growing and have opened another unit, Unit 8. Currently, it includes one group apartment and one service apartment, and in the autumn, another group apartment will open within the unit.

Your role

As an employee in Bromma District Administration, you are an important part of our work to actively contribute so that the residents feel safe, seen, included, appreciated, and important. By being curious and attentive to the resident's needs, abilities, and dreams, you create health together with your colleagues and manager. This is fundamental to the salutogenic approach on which our operations are based.

The Group Leader reports to the Unit Manager and will work closely with both the Unit Manager and other employees. You will work on the development of the unit, quality work, be responsible for the reception of new employees, handle administrative tasks, and plan staffing. As a person, you have a solution-focused perspective. You are self-reliant, goal- and result-oriented, and driven by anticipating problems and developing the business to always stay one step ahead. You have a holistic view and consider the best of the entire operation in actions and decisions. You are brave, communicate easily, and ensure that expectations are clear. You are interested in the overarching issues and good at collaborating with others, thereby creating added value.

It is important that you have good cooperation skills for a well-functioning collaboration with users, colleagues, and partners. Being flexible is important in this work. You are secure and stable in your professional role. To work with us, it is a prerequisite that you have an interest, a will, and the ability to meet our users every day. Since the operation has many contact surfaces and ongoing documentation is part of the work, it is important that you express yourself well in both speech and writing.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have:

  • A university/college education focused on leadership, supervision, communication, pedagogy, or other equivalent education.
  • Experience in a supervisory role.
  • Several years of broad experience working within LSS, SoL (Social Services Act) service provision.
  • Good knowledge of the Office package.
  • Documented experience in coordination, planning, and/or project management as well as follow-up.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, as well as language comprehension.

Meritorious is:

  • Experience working in a politically governed organization.
  • Good knowledge of Stockholm City's IT systems, e.g., Medvind, ParaSol, Lisa Self-service.
  • Knowledge of Swedish Sign Language.

For work with LSS interventions for children with disabilities, you must submit an extract from the Police's criminal record register. You order the extract yourself, and it must not be older than six months, or one year for work with children, from the date of issue.
