Your Role

Skymningsvägens group home, which is a residence under the LSS Act (Law of Support and Service to Certain People with Disabilities), is perfectly located for those seeking a close connection to nature. With lush forest areas within reach and water characterizing the immediate area, a peaceful atmosphere is created for our customers to thrive and feel at home. Six adult customers live at Skymningsvägens group home, where they enjoy being active, participating in fun activities, and socializing together.

As a support assistant, you base your work on the customer's individual needs and wishes, providing daily support from a pedagogical approach. Together with your colleagues, you work to make the customer's day meaningful and content-rich. You provide support in areas such as personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of your work is to stimulate and motivate the customer to develop their skills and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Documentation and planning based on implementation plans are also part of your duties.

Your Experience

To be considered for the position, it is a requirement that you have:

• Completed education in healthcare/care or child and leisure with courses taken in disability/special pedagogy or other education deemed equivalent according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations
• Ability to handle customers with a large care need
• Experience with autism and cognitive disabilities among adults
• Experience with low-affective handling
• Computer and documentation skills as well as experience with implementation plans
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have education and/or experience within IBIC, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and clarifying pedagogy.

You always put the customer's well-being in focus and are good at prioritizing in daily work. Since some of our customers have extensive needs for support in daily life, it is important that you have experience with and want to work with care interventions.

As a person, you are patient and can create security and trust among our customers. You are responsive and flexible in both your working methods and your approach. We are looking for you who are communicative and enjoy collaborating with colleagues, but also feel confident working independently and making your own decisions. You like to develop working methods and approaches to create a meaningful daily life for our customers.
