Arjeplog Municipality is seeking a Support Assistant for LSS housing facility "Regnbågen" (The Rainbow). Regnbågen is a residential home for children aged 0–18 with disabilities, covered by the Support and Service Act for Certain Disability Groups (LSS).

Job Description

The work at Regnbågen involves a pedagogical and salutogenic approach with the child at the center. The structure and activities are tailored to the child's needs and prerequisites.

Support for the child covers all daily situations, including personal hygiene, meals, cleaning, day activities, social and authority contacts, leisure activities, and the preparation of implementation plans. It is of great importance to safeguard the individual's participation and influence.

Certain healthcare interventions may occur as part of the role.

Personal Qualities

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. The role requires you to be flexible, responsible, and able to work both independently and in a team. Good collaboration skills are essential. You should view all people as having equal value and treat them with respect. You should be positive, creative, and have a pedagogical approach. The ability to identify needs and resources in children is crucial.

You need to be calm, enduring, and clear in your body language. A good and respectful attitude with a salutogenic approach—working based on the individual's capabilities and resources—is key.

You must be fluent in speaking and writing Swedish.

Other Information

The work schedule includes shifts with overnight on-call duties.

Qualifications

Education:

We are looking for someone with experience in similar tasks. Upper secondary education in nursing or qualification as a nurse assistant is meritorious, but basic competence in the field is required for the Support Assistant position.

Employment Terms

• Start date: July 1, 2026, or by agreement
• Duration: Permanent position
• Employment level: 95.21%
• Probationary period may apply
• Extract from the criminal record is required for employment

Salary and Relocation Bonus

Arjeplog Municipality has decided on a salary bonus for employees in current shortage occupations in permanent positions, with employment dates after July 1, 2018. Support Assistant/Support Staff at Regnbågen is a current shortage occupation. To receive the bonus, you must be registered as a resident in Arjeplog Municipality during the three years.

The salary bonus is paid in stages:

• After 12 months: 15,000 SEK
• After 24 months: 22,500 SEK
• After 36 months: 30,000 SEK

There is also an opportunity to apply for a relocation bonus of up to 30,000 SEK (against verified receipts) if you have adequate education, get a job in a shortage occupation, and move to Arjeplog. The bonus is proportional to the employment level.
