About the job

LiU Sustainability Transformations (LiUST) is a newly established centre at LiU.

The centre's operations include a student team consisting of several student assistants from various faculties and programmes. The student team's tasks include participating in weekly team meetings, ensuring presence at the LiU Sustainability Transformations office, carrying out investigative and administrative assignments, designing and supporting the idea generation process, and implementing initiatives and events.

We are now looking for 2–3 student assistants who will assist the centre's coordinators with various tasks during the autumn of 2026.

About you

To be employed as a student assistant, you must be admitted to a bachelor's or master's programme at Linköping University.

The tasks are varied and may arise with short notice, requiring flexibility and availability at the university. You should also be responsible, detail-oriented, service-minded, have good communication skills, and have a genuine interest in sustainability issues in a broad sense.

It is also meritorious if you are studying at the advanced level (master's level) and can demonstrate documented previous experience and engagement relevant to the assignment.

Your workplace

Your tasks will be carried out within the framework of the centre's operations and will be primarily location-bound to the university campus. Organizationally, you will be employed at the Department of Science and Technology (Linköping University).

About the employment

Employment as a student assistant is regulated in Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance. Those employed as student assistants may work within teaching, administration, or participate in research or artistic development work. A student assistant position may correspond to a maximum of 50% of full-time employment.

This position is 20% of full-time, starting from August 15th for up to 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
