About the Assignment
Yrkesgymnasiet is represented in 19 locations across the country, offering vocational education with strong ties to working life. Work-based learning (APL) is a central part of our operations and crucial for ensuring that students receive an equitable, relevant, and high-quality education regardless of their geographical location. The role of National Strategist for APL aims to strengthen and develop APL placements nationally, as well as to create sustainable forms of collaboration between schools and working life.
About the Role
In this role, you will work both strategically and operationally, focusing on long-term development, quality assurance, and equity in the implementation of APL. An overarching goal is to acquire and secure more APL placements with companies on a national level to meet operational needs and create stable, long-term placements for our students.
A key part of the assignment is to market Yrkesgymnasiet as a strong and attractive brand, as well as to build and manage relationships with companies that see clear and long-term benefits in collaboration. The role also involves initiating and signing cooperation agreements with companies and industry stakeholders, with the aim of creating sustainable partnerships regarding APL, competence supply, and future recruitment.
You have good knowledge of the vocational programs in upper secondary school and a well-developed understanding of the competence requirements that working life and industries demand, and how the school can strategically match these needs.
Your Responsibilities:
- Initiate, develop, and manage collaboration with companies and organizations to establish and secure APL placements in the long term.
- Work systematically with quality assurance, follow-up, and development of APL placements on a national level.
- Maintain continuous dialogue with company representatives and other working life actors to strengthen the collaboration between school and working life.
Your Skills:
- Have good ability to create and maintain networks.
- Are structured, solution-oriented, and communicative.
- Enjoy working both independently and in teams.
- Have an interest in education and collaboration with working life.
Qualifications:
- Experience in coordinating work, relationship building, and network development.
- Very good organizational skills and experience in structuring and driving work independently.
- Knowledge of vocational education, upper secondary vocational programs, and APL is meritorious.
- Valid driver's license (Category B) is required (travel within the role occurs).
Work Location: All of Sweden, with a base in the town where you reside.
