Description

• We are looking for you who are interested in working with people in need of support and who want to make a difference. Vännäs Municipality offers a workplace where you are part of meaningful work. You will have a job that is varied, developmental, and educational.

We offer you work for the entire summer, parts of the summer, or as an hourly substitute during other periods of the year. You can work within elderly care (elderly housing, short-term care, or home help) or disability support (group housing or personal assistance). The work is scheduled during the day, evening, weekend, and night.

Working in elderly care involves independent work with elderly people who need support in their daily lives. We are looking for you who want to support elderly people in their own homes or in a care facility. The focus of your work will be on the privacy, security, and well-being of the elderly.

Work in disability support involves working with people who have a disability and need support in their daily lives, either in their own home (personal assistance) or in group housing. The focus of the work is to give users the opportunity to live an independent life.

Job Responsibilities

Common tasks include support/help with

• Personal care
• Personal hygiene
• Meals
• Social interaction
• Medication administration

Qualifications

To work in care and support, you need good knowledge of the Swedish language. Proficiency in both spoken and written Swedish is required to perform care documentation, receive medication delegation, and communicate with users.

Meritorious if you have

• studied or are studying the Care and Nursing Program, or alternatively have other education focused on care or social work
• work experience in support and care.

Your personal suitability is important, and we want you to be responsible, reliable, and responsive. It is very important that you have a respectful attitude towards users and that you take into account their individual needs and wishes.

Summer Bonus

CONDITIONS

• To be eligible for the bonus, you must work at least 4 consecutive weeks during the period June 15 – August 23, 2026.
• The employee must work at least 75% during the specified period for the bonus to be paid.

BONUS

• The summer bonus amounts to 750 SEK/week.
• Time-limited employed pensioners within the specified occupational group are compensated with 25% in addition to the bonus allowance and hourly wage.

When bonus is not paid

You receive the bonus for every fully scheduled work week you have worked.

This means that if you are absent due to child care and/or illness at least once (1) during a work week, you will not receive a bonus for that week.

Extract from the criminal record

Before an offer of employment, an acceptable extract from the police's criminal record must be presented.

Conditions

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• A driver's license is required for some of our operations.
