About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who wants to take overall responsibility for Nova's accounting and help build a finance function that is as sharp as the rest of the business.

This is not just a role where you check off accounts and follow a checklist. You have a handle on the details, but you look up when something doesn't look right, question, improve, and ensure we have order and structure that holds up over time and scales with the business.

You are confident in your competence, drive your work forward independently, and serve as a support to both management and colleagues on financial matters. At the same time, you thrive in an environment where things are developing and where you get to help set how we work – not just follow how it has always been done.

The Team

The Finance Department currently consists of two accountants and a CFO on a consultancy basis. Before the end of the year, Nova will hire a strategically minded CFO who will head the finance department, while the accounting team will be strengthened with this role.

You will among other things:

• Ensure the quality of ongoing accounting in close collaboration with the accountants
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Be responsible for audits and tax calculations on an annual basis
• Ensure that accounting follows current regulations and principles (K3)
• Analyze deviations and contribute insights to the business
• Establish and consolidate companies on new markets in Europe
• Be responsible for reporting to the Swedish Tax Agency and the Companies Registration Office
• Develop and streamline processes within accounting and reporting, ensuring structure and quality in financial data and materials

Who you are

• Have 5 years of experience in qualified accounting work and feel confident in the entire closing process
• Have produced annual reports and income tax returns according to K3
• Very good knowledge of Swedish corporate and tax law
• Have a post-secondary education in economics, accounting, or equivalent
• Have a good understanding of accounting principles and regulations
• Communicate fluently in Swedish and have good knowledge of English
• Active AI user to create the most efficient processes possible
• Have experience with web-based ERPs such as Fortnox and Visma
• Very high Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables

Experience with international accounting is a plus, as is knowledge of IFRS.

Recruitment Process

1. CV Review We review applications continuously and assess experience, merits, and how well you fit the role.
2. Psychometric Tests Selected candidates complete two digital psychometric tests (totaling approx. 15–20 minutes). The tests are used as a complement to interviews to support a structured and objective assessment.
3. Video Interviews Candidates who move forward are invited to one or two video interviews via Teams. The conversations focus on your experience, how you think, and who you are as a person.
4. Final Interview with Case (On-site in Stockholm) The final step is an interview at our office in Stockholm.
