We are now looking for a therapist for Alpklyftan HVB Hallegatan in Gothenburg.

HVB Hallegatan is part of Nytida Alpklyftan, together with HVB Blankversgatan and HVB Villa Parkudden. The facility is aimed at young people and young adults between the ages of 15–19 who need support in their daily lives due to psychosocial issues, neuropsychiatric disabilities, or high school absenteeism. The young people are offered coordinated interventions based on an agreed implementation plan, as well as their individual goals and conditions. The goals are followed up continuously, and the young people have a high degree of participation in the work. The young people are to some extent independent and are offered support and care based on individual needs.

Hallegatan is located in a quiet but central villa area on Hisingen in Gothenburg, with good transport connections via nearby public transport.

The facility has nine places - four in a collective form and five in associated apartments.

The work group is characterized by good cooperation, great experience, high engagement, and a strong sense of responsibility.

About the role

The therapist's work aims to meet young people in need of support and guidance. The role requires a secure and independent person who can work alone for parts of the work shift, while maintaining structure, calm, and a professional attitude in all situations.

The tasks include therapeutic work such as motivational interviewing, coordination of interventions, contact with authorities, skills training, and documentation. The work requires good decision-making skills, responsibility, and the ability to act independently based on local and central routines in emerging situations.

Practical tasks such as cleaning, grocery shopping, and cooking are included in the job duties.

As a therapist, you are responsible for following current legislation and the facility's routines, including care and food hygiene as well as medication management. The work is conducted according to key worker principles, and the residence involves both solo work and sleeping on-call duties.

Your experience and knowledge You are a social worker, behavioral scientist, or have another university degree in a behavioral science field. Applicants with a 2-year post-secondary further education containing 400 YH (Swedish Higher Education Credit System) with a focus on social work are also welcome.

You have worked for a few years with children and young people, preferably in a therapeutic setting. You preferably have further education in therapeutic methods commonly used in the profession, such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), family therapy, Relapse Prevention (RP), or similar. You have a valid B-driver's license.

The position requires an extract from the police's suspicion and criminal record register. Employment type: Permanent position with a 6-month probation period. Scope: 100%. Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Working hours: Irregular working hours, day, evening, weekend & sleeping on-call. Start date: August 2026.
