About the role

In this position, you will support the existing maintenance engineer, ensure smooth operations, and coordinate maintenance work during a significant transition project. You will work closely with contractors, act as an operational link, and solve problems directly on-site. Your hands-on approach will make a direct difference in a unique industrial environment.

This is initially a consultancy assignment where you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant for our client. Read more about our consultancy offering.

Responsibilities

As an operational maintenance engineer, you will play a central role in ensuring functionality and coordinating maintenance efforts in an industrial environment during a transition period.

• Coordinate and lead the contractors' work on-site at the facility.
• Assist contractors in locating and interpreting technical drawings.
• Identify and handle ongoing maintenance needs.
• Support the existing maintenance engineer.

We are looking for someone who

• Has relevant post-secondary education in mechanical engineering.
• Has a strong technical interest and a practical mindset.
• Is an open and attentive personality with direct communication.

It is an advantage if you have

• Previous work experience as a maintenance engineer or equivalent.
