About the Role
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to support the purchasing function in daily operations. The role is both administrative and operational, focusing on ensuring that purchasing processes run smoothly and that the business system is up to date.
You will work closely with several departments to ensure that materials and components are available on time and in the correct quantities. This role is a key part of the team's information flow and follow-up, where you contribute as a central administrative resource with excellent opportunities for development.
The position is full-time and located in Alingsås. You will be employed by DFDS Professionals AB and work as a consultant for our client. For the right candidate, there are good opportunities to eventually be directly employed by the client company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute purchases of materials and components
- Work in the business system Monitor for purchasing planning, inventory control, as well as data updating and maintenance
- Follow up on deliveries and handle any delays
- Responsible for supplier follow-up
- Handle administrative tasks related to purchasing
- Collect, compile, and quality-assure information
- Collaborate closely with the Purchasing Manager and other departments
About You
- Structured and detail-oriented
- Collaborative and communicative
- Independent in simpler tasks
- Responsible and solution-oriented
- Quick learner
Requirements for the Role
- Upper secondary education or other post-secondary education in purchasing/logistics is an advantage
- Experience in purchasing and administrative work
- Experience with business systems, preferably Monitor
- Good computer skills
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
Mobile Consultant:
You are employed by us at DFDS Professionals but work at our clients' premises. Being a mobile consultant means being employed by DFDS Professionals to perform work at client companies, where the workplace, working hours, and tasks may vary within an agreed service area. Selection is ongoing, and appointments may be made before the application deadline.
