Funäsdalen Preschool is seeking a preschool teacher who speaks Southern Sami, or a Sami-speaking educator with relevant experience.
Job Responsibilities
As a Sami-speaking preschool teacher, your duties involve working in accordance with the Swedish National Agency for Education's curriculum for the preschool (LpFö). You will be responsible for planning, following up, and documenting Sami activities. Together with the work team, you will conduct Sami activities for children aged 1–5, where language is a priority. The role also includes being a good role model for both children and colleagues, and having a clear understanding of the equal value of all people, fostering a trust-based approach.
The position is advertised as 100%, but the extent can be adjusted based on the applicant's needs and circumstances.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with good knowledge of the Southern Sami language and a preschool teacher's license, or alternatively, experience in the profession. You should be accustomed to taking personal responsibility, be a good role model, and be attentive to children's expressions of will. We value a present-minded educator who collaborates well with others and always keeps the focus on the mission together with the children.
A certificate of conduct (extract from the police register) is required for employment. Personal suitability is given great weight.
What We Offer
Funäsdalen Preschool uses pedagogical documentation as a tool to achieve the goals set out in the curriculum. You will have the opportunity to take significant personal responsibility for realizing these goals. The preschool's new curriculum places an increased emphasis on the Sami language. We focus heavily on quality development in our preschools, striving to continuously improve quality and develop learning and language environments for our children.
Regarding the recruitment process, Härjedalen Municipality has taken a stance on recruitment channels and marketing. We kindly but firmly decline contact with media salespeople, recruitment sites, and similar services.
