The client is a 6-year-old boy with autism who lives with his parents in Bromma. On weekdays, he attends preschool and afterwards needs a personal assistant by his side.
The client is an active and creative boy who enjoys walks and spending time outdoors in the park. He is playful and likes playing with train tracks and Duplo, and has a great interest in animals, music, and instruments. He has limited verbal communication and uses PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and visual supports. He also uses a TalkPad to support his communication.
You who are applying have a big heart and are dedicated to your work. You are self-assured, calm, playful, and empathetic. You have great patience and are communicative, with the ability to read situations, signals, and potential risks. Since the client is active and rarely sits still, you need to be able to keep up with his pace. We believe you are self-motivated and driven, and can help the client with a pedagogical and positive attitude.
We would like you to have previous experience working with children, preferably those with neuropsychiatric disabilities. Experience with tube feeding and knowledge of working with PECS is a plus.
