Do you want to make a real difference in someone's daily life? We are currently looking for a personal assistant for a happy, active, and social 20-year-old with severe epilepsy. Could that be you?

About the role

You will be a key support in the daily life of a young man living in his own home in Halmstad. He is full of energy, quick to laugh, and has a strong interest in football. On weekdays, he attends day activities. In his free time, he enjoys video games, vaulting (an equestrian discipline), and discussing topics that engage him – so we hope you are curious and enjoy listening. Occasionally, a dog visits, so being comfortable with animals is a plus.

As a personal assistant, you will help with personal care, household chores, and creating a secure and meaningful daily life together.

Some days involve extra responsibility: he experiences epileptic seizures a few times a day. It is important that you can act calmly and securely during these incidents, always prioritizing safety.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is engaged, respectful, and perceptive. We appreciate that you have great patience and the ability to be personal while acting professionally.

We would like you to be:

• Secure, calm, and patient
• Active and enjoy finding things to do
• Perceptive and empathetic
• Fluent in Swedish (reading and writing)
• Comfortable around animals

💡 Extra points if you have experience with epilepsy or have worked with low-affective handling – but this is not a requirement.

Employment type: As long as the assistance assignment lasts

Hours: Part-time

Working hours: Afternoons, evenings & weekends, or awake nights on weekdays & weekends.

Start date: Immediately

We offer individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Personal suitability will be given great weight.

In the event of employment, you must be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing EU/EEA citizenship or a valid work permit.
