In a house in Bua lives a young man full of energy and joy. He shares his home with his parents, two younger siblings, and two cats. There’s laughter, play, typical sibling banter, and sometimes things get quite lively. Amidst all this, you are there – a steady and reassuring presence.

The young man requires round-the-clock personal assistance. You may work independently or alongside a colleague. The role comes with both responsibility and closeness. Your tasks include medication management, inhalations, transfers, physiotherapy exercises, and personal hygiene.

He has diagnoses that cause involuntary muscle movements. He always needs someone close by – someone who can read situations, stay calm during storms, and interpret his needs.

But this job isn’t just about care.

It’s also about speed and joy!

He loves when things happen: racing around in his wheelchair, bouncing on a trampoline, listening to music, or joining in with his siblings’ antics. Animals and walks are also favorites. Here, you’re not just a support – you’re part of everyday life, the laughter, and all the little things that make life fun.

We’re looking for someone who is calm, attentive, and physically strong enough to handle manual lifting. You are present, patient, and able to switch between quiet moments and playful energy. A bit of personal warmth goes a long way.

Experience with children or healthcare is a plus, but not essential. The most important thing is that you work well together.

You will start as an hourly employee, with the possibility of a fixed-term contract for the duration of the assignment if it feels right for both parties, working 50–100 %. Shifts are scheduled during days, evenings, and every other weekend on a rotating basis. During holidays and leave periods, there may be opportunities to work more hours, so we also welcome hourly substitutes.

In many assignments, the person receiving assistance is their own employer, while in others, a designated employer has been appointed. Roles and responsibilities vary depending on the operation and function.

GIL’s office provides support in areas such as management, administration, finance, HR, and training. Together, we ensure that daily life runs smoothly for both those receiving assistance and our employees within the cooperative.
