Job Description

Do you have a genuine interest in supporting people in their lives so that they experience a meaningful daily life at home? As a personal assistant, you are part of the user's daily life and support the person in living the life they wish to live. You will be very important to the person you work for!

The tasks vary depending on the user's needs, conditions, and wishes. You will contribute to strengthening the individual's opportunity to actively participate in society and live and reside under safe conditions. Tasks may include everything from assistance with meals, personal hygiene, dressing/undressing, and household chores to enabling the user to pursue hobbies, work, socialize with friends, or travel.

Your work aims to promote the user's integrity, self-determination, and participation in society according to the Act concerning Special Support for Certain Functional Impairments (LSS). This means that tasks vary among different users.

The job includes documentation in our operational systems.

Working within social services involves performing interventions according to the LSS Act, care and support measures, and performing health and medical care tasks on delegation.

You will receive a good introduction with shadowing to create a sense of security for you when performing your duties with us this summer. If the job requires medication management, you will be called in for training.

Working hours are varied and scheduled. Your working hours will be spread across days, evenings, and every other weekend. We also have night shifts. Exact times vary depending on where you work. Some workplaces have 24-hour shifts with on-call sleeping duty.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a positive outlook, are proactive, have good problem-solving skills, and a genuine interest in working with people. You should be engaged, have good collaboration skills, and provide good treatment. You must be able to work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues or relatives.

Requirements for the position:

• You master the Swedish language in speech and writing; being multilingual is an advantage.
• You have a Category B driver's license.
• We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

It is an advantage if you are studying/educated as a nursing assistant or educator, or have work experience within care and support.
