About Villa Östergård
Villa Östergård is a short-term accommodation focused on rehabilitation. The facility has 54 places. We receive patients in need of rehabilitation after fractures, surgeries, stroke, or recovery after hospital stays. Our work is guided by a salutogenic approach where daily rehabilitation is a large part of the day. We offer short-term accommodation to those aged 40 and above who need care and support in various forms. The quality of our care arises in the meeting between staff and residents. Every day, in every moment.

About the role
The role involves driving development work, projects, and activities within health and wellness for the elderly. Based on current research and evidence, you influence and develop the operations.
You play an important role in:
leading our activity council where we plan common holidays, music events, and activities
supporting your colleagues in carrying out smaller activities on the units
being part of a network with activity coordinators in the region/country and keeping up with the broader world
being responsible for our social media
building contacts and developing good collaborations with local organizations, schools, municipalities, volunteers, media, etc.
leading projects and applying for grants/subsidies that benefit the accommodation.
You collaborate with all employees in the operation to best offer the residents a meaningful day. You have extensive knowledge of the operation's agreements and, together with the operations manager, are responsible for planning and executing what we promise in our concept and agreements. Your closest manager is the operations manager.
You generally work daytime Monday-Friday but may need to work some weekends and evenings during special events.

We prefer that you have a university education in health promotion work, e.g., health educator, culture, public health work, or equivalent education/experience. It is an advantage if you have a certified therapy dog, good computer skills, experience working with social media, and experience applying for grants/subsidies.
