About VetAtHome

VetAtHome is a modern and innovative animal care service where the well-being and comfort of pets and their owners are prioritized. Currently, we have a physical clinic and ambulatory operations in Stockholm, as well as smaller clinic rooms and ambulatory veterinarians across the country. We are currently looking for a veterinarian for our operations in Malmö who is driven and interested in working ambulatorily.

Ambulatory visits are the core of VetAtHome. By visiting the animal where it thrives best, we minimize stress and create a calmer care experience for everyone, a service highly appreciated by both patients and owners. Our goal is to offer home veterinary care throughout Sweden and thereby contribute to more animals receiving the care they need.

Working as a veterinarian for VetAtHome across Sweden

During home visits, it is often possible to perform much more care than many people realize. At home, we can perform examinations, wound care, euthanasia, blood sampling, and vaccinations. In cases requiring further treatment at a clinic or diagnostics, we help refer them for quick and appropriate care. Many of our patients receive all their care through home visits, which creates security and fosters fine, long-term relationships.

As an ambulatory veterinarian with us, you have your own fully equipped mobile clinic (polrum) as your base. Here, you can both receive patients who wish to meet at a clinic and prepare for the day's home visits, such as packing your bag with the materials and medicines needed for the day. VetAtHome provides you with a bag and a car so that you can easily transport yourself between visits. It is a very independent job, but with colleagues across the country, there is always someone to contact if you encounter problems, whether technical questions or questions regarding a patient. We also hold pulse meetings at the beginning of each shift so that you can ask any questions before the day. VetAtHome strives to employ both a veterinarian and a nurse in each location, but initially, you may need to work without a nurse. Regardless of where in the country you will work, we ensure you receive a thorough introduction so that you feel completely secure in working according to our model.

We are looking for someone who…

• Has a veterinary degree and is licensed in Sweden.
• Has at least 2 years of experience in clinical work, preferably in both small and large animals.
• Is interested in taking responsibility for your own mobile clinic in your area and building close relationships with your patients and their owners.
• Has good communication skills, is service-oriented, pedagogical, and able to build trusting relationships with pet owners.
• Thrives in a work environment where you can influence and plan your day to create a sustainable and rewarding workday.
• Wants flexibility and balance in work, with the possibility to work both stationary and ambulatorily.
• Is self-motivated, responsible, organized, time-efficient, and enjoys working in a flexible and dynamic environment.
• Has a B driver's license and good driving experience.
• Has good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious qualifications

• Experience with home visits or work in mobile veterinary clinics.
• Worked with multiple species such as dogs, cats, and horses.
• Further education in animal welfare, stress-free handling, or similar areas.
• Can take blood samples and place venous catheters.
