Within the Social Care Administration, approximately 1,200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, and social psychiatry, as well as individual and family care.

In Ystad Municipality, there are eight dedicated home care groups that work every day to create security, participation, and high quality of life for our users. Our night patrol is responsible for care interventions during all night hours of the day and operates throughout the entire municipality.

In the nature-rich areas of Svarte and Löderup, our home care groups work closely with users who have both cognitive illnesses and needs for somatic care. Here you have the opportunity to combine independent work with proximity to both people and our beautiful countryside. Since the work takes place in rural areas, a B-class driver's license is a requirement.

In central Ystad, there are five home care groups where the work is largely performed by bicycle – a convenient and sustainable way of working that creates closeness to both colleagues and users. The Bellahöjden home care group has special competence in cognitive illnesses, while the groups in Östra Förstaden, Centrum, Hälsobacken, and Briggen primarily work with somatic care.

DUTIES

Do you want a job where you make a real difference for other people every day? Ystad Municipality is now looking for dedicated assistant nurses for Bellahöjden, a team within home care that works with people with cognitive illness in the urban area of Ystad.

At Bellahöjden, we work closely together with the individual in focus, where collaboration, engagement, and respect permeate everything we do.

As an assistant nurse in home care, you work based on assistance decisions and individual implementation plans to provide each user with the care and support they need. Your duties may include, among other things:

• Personal care and hygiene.
• Social support and meaningful companionship.
• Medication management.
• Cleaning and laundry.
• Accompanying to activities outside the home.
• Other interventions that contribute to a secure, active, and valuable everyday life.

The position also includes resource shifts, which means that you may work at other units within the municipality if needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who;

• Are trained as an assistant nurse and can provide proof of a protected professional title.
• Master Swedish in speech and writing (at least passing basic Swedish from elementary school Grade 9 or SFI D).
• Have good cycling skills.

Meritorious experience includes;

• Experience from home care.
• Experience working with people who have cognitive illnesses.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-31. Start date according to agreement.
Working hours: Schedule. Day and evening shifts - with duty every other weekend.
