Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in the school-age educare center (fritidshem), you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in accordance with the curriculum's goals. You create a safe, stimulating, and meaningful environment where the students' learning, development, and well-being are at the center.

You work to offer varied teaching that takes advantage of the students' interests, strengthens their social skills, and promotes creativity, responsibility, and cooperation. You contribute to creating a cohesive thread between school hours and the school-age educare center, collaborating closely with class teachers and other staff to provide students with a unified day.

You have a clear and secure leadership style within the student group and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Qualifications

You, the applicant, are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach in the school-age educare center, or alternatively, you are trained as a school-age pedagog. In special cases, it may also be relevant if you are a certified preschool teacher. You have good knowledge of the school-age educare center's mission and regulatory documents and can translate them into practice.

To succeed in this role, you are a secure and clear leader with good pedagogical insight. You have the ability to create structure, build positive relationships, and establish an inclusive learning environment where all students feel seen and involved. Furthermore, you are creative and engaged, with the ability to create stimulating activities through play, creation, and movement. You are flexible, solution-focused, and have an easy time collaborating with colleagues, students, and guardians, while also taking responsibility for developing the operations forward.

Within the primary school system in Borås Municipality, we have a central recruitment process for School-Age Educare Teachers. This means that we interview and appoint our staff continuously based on the schools' needs. We update the advertisement continuously with open positions. In the application process, you specify which school(s) you are interested in working at. You can add more schools later if more recruitment needs arise. If you proceed in the recruitment process, it may become relevant to visit one or more of the relevant schools, depending on operational needs and the assessment of the principal.
