ABOUT THE POSITION

At Kura Omsorg, we are currently looking for a personal assistant to work as a substitute on an as-needed basis for our client in Trollhättan. As a substitute, you will work on an as-needed basis, usually around 1–2 shifts per week, with the possibility of both weekday and weekend work. Start date is by agreement, and we would prefer if you could start your introduction immediately.

The working hours are as follows:

• 07:00–15:00
• 15:00–23:00
• 23:00–07:00 (awake night shift)

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a man in his mid-70s with progressive MS. Your tasks will include helping him with all care needs, daily routines, transfers using a ceiling lift, assistance with personal hygiene, and dressing/undressing.

The tasks include the following:

• Helping with daily routines such as household chores as they arise
• Assisting with personal hygiene, dressing/undressing, and during meals

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone who is empathetic and not afraid to learn new things in their work. You should also be organized and accustomed to working according to clear routines, which is important for the client.

REQUIREMENTS

• Category B driver's license (automatic or manual), as you may need to drive the client's car for work purposes

BENEFICIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience as a personal assistant
• Experience working with ceiling lifts, cough assist machines, and BiPAP
• Access to your own car to make commuting easier, as the client has a summer house that is most easily reached by car

Employment level: Hourly substitute

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as a personal assistant.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record register. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record register and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Swedish Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order in good time.
