ABOUT THE POSITION

Vi Omsorg is looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant for one of our clients in Falun.

Position 1: Full-time position
The work takes place during daytime. You will accompany Maja to preschool on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. During the rest of the time, within the framework of a full-time position, you will follow Maja wherever she is – at home, at the swimming pool, on outings, or in the playground.

Position 2: Part-time position
The position is a temporary hourly vacancy where you work when regular staff is absent, as well as part-time during evenings and weekends. If the cooperation between you and the client works well, there are good opportunities to transition to a part-time employment with a fixed schedule later on.

Start date is by agreement, and we would like you to be able to start the introduction as soon as possible.

ABOUT THE CLIENT
Maja is a happy and curious girl who turns 4 in August. She has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA type 1) and uses among other things a shower chair, electric wheelchair (Permobil), cough assist machine, and tube feeding. When she sleeps, she also uses a breathing mask.

As her assistant, you will among other things:

• Work with the cough assist machine and BIPAP.
• Assist with transfers, dressing and undressing, as well as tube feeding.

But the job is about so much more than practical help. Maja loves to bathe, play dress-up, draw, and explore the world from her Permobil. You will together create playful moments filled with imagination, laughter, and the joy of discovery. Maja likes to go on adventures, play in the playground, and spend time with her older sisters. At the same time, it is important that you are attentive to her need for rest, as she gets very tired from playing and needs to recover several times during the day.

We are looking for you who can meet Maja in her energy and curiosity. You enjoy playing, creating, and coming up with things – but are also sensitive and confident in reading when she needs rest. To thrive in the role, you need to be flexible, attentive, and responsible. You feel comfortable handling both medical equipment and everyday activities. You are warm, considerate, and patient, while also being able to act calmly and securely in different situations. You are creative, solution-oriented, and see possibilities in everyday life. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability in the recruitment process.
