The Child and Family Unit within the Individual and Family Care in Gagnefs Municipality is now looking for a Social Secretary who wants to work with investigations and interventions for children and their families. We are in a phase where we are building a safe, stable, and sustainable work group, and we are looking for you who want to be part of that journey.

Job Responsibilities

At Gagnefs Municipality, we work flexibly, which means you work with all parts of the authority's operations. The tasks can be adapted based on interest and experience to create a stimulating and developing work environment. As a Social Secretary, this means being the first safe contact for municipal residents seeking support and help. As a Social Secretary, you receive and make initial assessments of incoming reports of concern, inquiries, and applications. The tasks also include investigations, granting interventions, and following up on placed children and open care interventions. The work includes regular conversations with both adults and children, as well as collaboration with internal and external operations.

Documentation is an important part of the position and takes place continuously in the different phases of the cases. Travel may occur in the work.

You will work closely with colleagues who work as social secretaries, family law secretaries, foster home secretaries, adult case workers, economic assistance, open care, and together we always put the Gagnef resident in focus. We are in the middle of the transition to the new Social Services Act and are developing our work towards more promoting and preventive interventions, with the support of a project manager. As a Social Secretary with us, you will get a stimulating and responsible job where you work in all parts of the investigation process and have great opportunities to influence the development of the operations. You will receive regular internal method guidance from the first Social Secretary, and the work group is also offered external process guidance. If you are new to the case worker role, you also have extra support from colleagues in the form of co-case work.

You are offered;

  • 39-hour work week and flexitime

Qualifications

We are therefore looking for you who can keep calm when it is needed most and who can make well-founded assessments even under pressure. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to plan, structure, and prioritize your work so that timeframes, legal requirements, and quality requirements are followed.

Collaboration is a natural part of your working method, and you actively contribute to a good work climate by being helpful, communicative, and responsible. You are a person with good maturity, integrity, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. The child's perspective is a clear part of your working method, which is permeated by humility, understanding, and professionalism. You express yourself well in speech and writing and handle documentation in a careful and legally secure manner. If you have experience with authority operations or work with children and families, it is an advantage, but we also welcome you who are new to the profession and want to grow into the role. The most important thing is that you have the right basic education, a genuine commitment, and the desire to develop together with us. It is meritorious if you have knowledge of BBIC, training in Signs of Safety, FREDA, or other complementary methods that strengthen the organization's competence.

You must have a Swedish social work degree and a B-driver's license since driving is part of the job.

Conditions

The position is 100% with a monthly salary. Start date according to agreement. Interviews may take place during the application period.

During the interview, you must be able to present extracts from the suspicion and criminal records register.
