Do you want to make a real difference for people living with mental illness?

We are now looking for an employee for a combined position as a Personal Representative with coordination responsibilities. The role involves both working on your own cases and a mandate to coordinate and lead the daily work in the team.

Personal Representative in Northern Dalarna is a collaboration between the municipalities of Mora, Orsa, Älvdalen, Rättvik, Leksand, Vansbro, and Malung-Sälen.

A Personal Representative works to support people with mental illness in having their rights met, strengthening their independence, and coordinating contacts with various authorities. You work on behalf of the client and contribute to increased self-empowerment, security, and control in everyday life, conducting client, home, and authority visits in Mora as well as in the collaborating municipalities.

The activity also aims to promote collaboration between authorities based on the individual's needs and to create conditions for better access to care, support, and services, with the goal that the person can live a more independent life.

Examples of tasks

As a Personal Representative with coordination responsibilities, you will lead and coordinate the operations in addition to working as a Personal Representative.

The coordination responsibility involves, among other things, planning, prioritizing, and distributing the work, as well as providing support to colleagues in cases and work processes. You will actively contribute to developing methods and routines, prepare and inform the management group, and act as a link between the manager and the work group.

As a Personal Representative, it is included to assess and map needs together with the client, coordinate, and plan interventions based on the individual's situation. You assist the client in contacts with and between different authorities. The assignment also includes highlighting deficiencies in the care and social services system and contributing to improvements at the local level, for example by promoting collaboration between different actors.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant university education such as social worker, behavioral scientist, or other education deemed relevant by the employer. You have documented experience of leadership or have previously worked in a coordinating role.

You have good knowledge of society's support and welfare systems and experience of working with people living with mental illness. Furthermore, it is required that you have a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, which allows you to communicate clearly and professionally in different contexts, as well as experience with digital working methods, and the ability to plan, structure, and follow up work against clear goals.

Abilities and skills

We are looking for you who are secure and stable and who have the ability to create trust and good relationships, where you lead the work team with respectful treatment and support the client towards an independent life. You are calm, attentive, accommodating, and have the interest, will, and ability to help and coach others.

You strive to deliver solutions, have a positive approach, and have the ability to prioritize and replan if conditions change.
