Summer Temporary Staff in Home Care in Ystad

Within the Social Care Administration, approximately 1,200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.
To enable people to remain at home and feel safe and well, we offer home care. Your role is to support the care recipient in living as independent a life as possible. The job is free and varied with great responsibility. Here you will have the opportunity to be outdoors and active in our fantastic summer environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to make a difference this summer? We are looking for someone who wants to work as a summer temporary staff member in home care. Cycle around in a fantastic summer environment and make a difference for the municipality's elderly.

As part of our teams, you will work closely with people and support them in their daily lives.
Responsibilities may include:
- Personal care and hygiene
- Support with meals, cleaning, and other daily tasks
- Social interaction and a safe approach
- Accompanying to medical visits, activities, or errands
- Working based on "help to self-help" to strengthen independence
- Medication management after approved delegation
Support is needed around the clock, which means you can work days, evenings, or nights, both on weekdays and weekends.
In some assignments, you will cycle or drive a car.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a warm approach and a genuine desire to help others. Experience or education is an asset, but your attitude and commitment are most important to us.
We place great emphasis on your personal suitability.
Requirements
- Work in home care, special housing, and LSS may involve working alone, threats and violence situations, heavy lifting, and medication management. According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations on the working environment for minors (AFS 2012:3), §6 and §8, such work is not permitted for minors. The person employed must therefore be at least 18 years old by June 30th.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing
- You are capable of physical work with a lot of movement where heavy lifting may occur
- You work according to basic hygiene routines and in a short-sleeved shirt
- You can work with both men and women
Assets
- Education in nursing or pedagogy (attach relevant grades/certificates with your application)
- Experience of similar work in elderly care or LSS
- Class B driver's license
- You can cycle
