About Amerikanska Gymnasiet, Gothenburg

Located at Lindholmen, next to the Karlatornet tower, is our newly built school, which we moved into in the autumn of 2024. Approximately 590 students attend the school, studying in the Natural Sciences, Technology, Economics, or Social Sciences programs. Teaching is conducted in both Swedish and English by a competent and driven teaching staff with a strong sense of community.

About the Role

We are looking for two teachers who can teach one or more of the following courses: programming, technology, web development, and AI. You are passionate about teaching your subjects and want to help develop technology education at the school. You will be responsible for planning, conducting, assessing, and evaluating your own teaching. You are expected to lead lessons based on our pedagogical structure, for which you will receive guidance. You will work closely with an engaged and cohesive teaching team, where collaboration and collegial learning are an integral part of daily life. You will teach in a digital environment using digital learning materials in combination with traditional literature. Teaching takes place in both Swedish and English.

The position is a permanent part-time or full-time employment, starting with a six-month probationary period. The scope depends on which subjects you will be teaching. Start date: August 3, 2026.

Your Profile

The position requires a Swedish teaching license and qualification to teach technology subjects and/or AI. It is also highly meritorious if you have experience of teaching, preferably at the upper secondary level. You have a strong commitment to teaching and want to help develop the operations together with a strong team of colleagues, and you share our pedagogical view:

We are looking for you to lead in line with our motto "Frames & Hugs", which means clear leadership and clear rules combined with strong care for every student. You are expected to have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You have the ability to use a broad spectrum of digital learning materials and possess solid digital competence.
